The Philips H9505 headphones are part of Philips’ 505 product series, which are all equipped with the aforementioned active noise-canceling. With these headphones, the users get what Philips calls a Hybrid Active Noise Canceling feature, which offers the filtering of unwanted background noise but also gives you the opportunity to listen to outside audio with Awareness Mode. The latter mode is enabled simply by covering the right ear cup with a hand, which triggers the microphones and lets through surrounding sounds.
