To start, Innersloth is adding two new Cosmicubes to Among Us, each with their own new food-inspired cosmetics. As is becoming routine, one Cosmicube will be available for Beans and one for Stars. The first is named the Snack Cosmicube and costs 2,500 Beans. It includes ice cream, eggs, cheese, lollipops, and even a chef’s suit. The Feast Cosmicube costs 110 Stars and includes similar snacks, as well as a loaf of bread dog, a jelly mini-companion, and a hot dog suit, among other cosmetics.

The next most substantial change to Among Us has to do with overall polish for the game’s storefront. Those opening the store will find a new up-front Featured section, which will focus on the latest cosmetic content added to the game. A new tab has also been added in the store for purchasing Stars. There are also new sorting options in the store, allowing Among Us players to sort by what’s new. Lastly, Cosmicubes are now appropriately marked if they’re time-limited and have visual indicators to point out which cosmetics and Cosmicubes have already been purchased.

One other substantial change, a change that’s surprising it hasn’t been addressed before, has to do with Sanctions – in-game bans and punishments. Previously, those banned would get a generic error about being disconnected if they tried to join matchmaking. Going forward, more specific information regarding a player’s ban will be displayed. This information will include the reason for the ban, the ban’s end date, and a link to the Among Us Code of Conduct.

Beyond content additions and UI changes, this update also addresses various bugs in Among Us. For example, certain hat cosmetics were previously kind of broken, but have been fixed to display correctly. Some cosmetics have also been bugging out the Among Us in-game chat if players scrolled through the logs. That’s now been addressed. Overall, more than a dozen bugs were fixed in the update.

The new update for Among Us should make for an overall better experience in-game, at least in small ways. The cosmetics will be a great reward for dedicated players to unlock as they play, too. As for when Among Us will receive its next patch, or its next big patch, that remains to be seen. Given Innersloth’s track record, expect news before long.

Among Us is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
